Megalodons are freakishly large sharks. Their name means "big tooth". Megalodons can smell blood miles away. They are said to have survived from around the time of dinosaurs. (60 to 65 million years ago) They could grow up to 40 feet in lenth! Many people think that Megalodons still exist. Some even claim they saw or had an encounter with one while out in open ocean.
